Fond Company's Creative Director Hannah Catchlove, has been recognised for her achievements in business by being awarded Young Business Woman of the Year at the Kent Women in Business Awards 2020.
Hannah was also a runner up in the Women in Retail category, demonstrating her dedication, passion and growth of Fond Company.
The award ceremony took place on Friday 6 May at The Great Danes Hotel, Maidstone. Now in its eighth year, Kent Women in Business Awards celebrate the achievements of inspirational business women in Kent. Some categories had over 60 entrants and to be a winner is testament to Hannah's hard work and creativity.
Hannah quit her full-time marketing job to start her own design studio Catchlove Create in 2015. She began illustrating cards as a hobby on the side, but before long she had customers wanting to buy from her.
In 2018, Hannah made a strategic decision to separate her retail business from Catchlove Create, which is when Fond Company was born. This allowed her to realign her business goals and reposition herself and her products in the market.
Since 2019, Hannah has doubled Fond Company's sales and increased her revenue by 466%. She has done this by increasing both her product ranges and collections. Hannah puts customers right at the very heart of her business, adding personal touches to every order.
Hannah says "I am over the moon to have been both a runner up and winner at the Kent Women in Business Awards. I have worked incredibly hard over the past five years, building two successful businesses from scratch. Things have not always been easy but I have persevered, overcoming the many challenges that small businesses face, and to be recognised for an award is fantastic."
